Resumen
In the domestic work of wage workers, various subordination areas (demonization, informality and migratory status) are combined, requiring an analysis of their reality and the regulation elements, as a necessary means of addressing the necessary reforms of the regulatory frameworks. Thus, Convention 189 on Women and Domestic Workers of 2011 was a fundamental standard whose development at the state level should be assessed in the light of the gender perspective and the postulates of legal feminism. In order to translate this analysis into a specific case, the Spanish case is reviewed, namely Royal Decree-Law 16/2022 of 6 September, for the improvement of working conditions and social security for working people in the service of the home, indicating the progress and goals that remain to be achieved in achieving the elimination of sexogeneric discrimination that persist in relation to this employment relationship. This review is essential for the construction of a Feminist Labour Law and for the achievement of real and effective gender equality in the field of working relations.
