Resumen
In this paper, a brief description of the Science and Society course is presented, including a concise overview of its background and the methodological assumptions of the STS (Science, Technology, and Society) approach. It then refers to the main educational methodologies employed by the teachers who teach Science and Society, as well as some of their results. The paper concludes with a discussion on the positive effects achieved through the implementation of this course in the first semester of the bachelor’s at the Faculty of Chemistry at UNAM, along with some final considerations.
