520.3.#.a: Currently there is a growing global ecological and public health concern associated with environmental pollution, particulary those caused by agrochemicals and heavy metals; Thus, in many parts of the world, amphibians are threatened by one or more of these chemical compounds and elements created by humans or naturally exist, but are released into the environment. For this reason, based on semi-structured interviews, the agrochemicals used in two ejidos located in front of the southern portion of the Montes Azules Biosphere Reserve (REBIMA) were identified and the dependence on the use of agrochemicals in the region is evidenced; In the laboratory, the atomic absorption spectrophotometry method identified the presence of five metals: Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Zinc (Zn) and Copper (Cu), and a metalloid: Arsenic ( As), in liver and skin of three species of anurans. Thus, the presence of Pb, Cd, Hg, Cu and Zn, may be influenced by the high degree of use of agrochemicals for the agricultural and livestock sector in the region.
