520.3.#.a: The text discusses the notion of alterity present in María Zambrano’s El hombre y lo divino. This concept is linked to the notion of piety, that is, to know how to deal with the other and that the Spanish author links with the treatment that the Greek religion maintained with the gods, as the correct way to deal with the divine.Zambrano repositions the ordinary meaning of both concepts, away from their contemporary use, to build a new meaning. This repositioning takes place in the historical context of positivist rationalism, which seeks to be responded with the proposal of the Spanish philosopher of a thought open to the other.
