Resumen
This paper deals with the history of the didactics of chemistry in the second half of the twentieth century thought the study of four international and innovational projects on chemistry education: The Chemical Bond Approach Project, Chemistry. A modern approach, The “Chemist in action” Project and the ChemCom Project. These projects gave rise to several books translated into Spanish by a wide range of teachers and publishers form Spain and Latin America. Starting from the diachronic analysis of this books, this paper focuses on innovation in the history of the didactics of chemistry, attending to the relations between science, technology and society. Thus, this paper offers several results on the role of pre-university chemistry education.
