With data from 955 youngcollege students from Mexico City, we analyzed the correlation of love styles with the age of their first couple relationship, as well as with thenumber of couples in life, important couples, couples sexually active, open / free relationships, casual sex, as well as the importance, commitmentand duration of the last romantic relationship. Results showed statistically significant yet small correlations, which suggest the formationof new and more flexible love styles. Subsequently, we created profiles to distinguish people with low or high levels of each love style, then we performed comparisons on relationships features, and sexual behavior patterns . Resumen
The ways in which people loves are strongly delimited by culture, and our culture has undergone some important changes recently, so weanalyzed the relationship of the love styles with different relationships features, and sexual behavior patterns. Our findings are discussed based on the effect thathistory, culture, social networks and other media have on the current concept of couples and the exercise of sexuality in university students.
