Resumen
Human mobility has been approached from various scientific currents on numerous occasions, specifying its features, roots, conflicts and future horizons; consequently, the data bank derived from extensive field work has exposed fundamental analysis for its understanding from the social sciences. Therefore, in this academic work, we will try to contribute to the strengthening of the object of study, examining the relationship of the phenomenon with migrant women, through discourses that emerge from them in popular songs on the YouTube platform. Songs act as transmitters of symbolic discursive content, which develop and distribute heterogeneous perspectives on national and international topics; in this context, in this article we will apply a critical analysis to the discourses of the songs: Mujer migrante – Pacha La Hija Del Sol; Mujer frontera – Clara Peya, feat. Alba Flores Ana Tijoux; Me fui – Reymar Perdomo, and, Homenaje a Claudia Gómez – Escandalosos Musical, that add up to several million views on YouTube, and display as a central theme the processes and complications of migrant women. Emphasizing its peculiarities and link with the theoretical frameworks on migratory transit, showing scenarios in which migrant women develop in poverty, vulnerability, family separation, job insecurity, transit dangers, harsh immigration controls, deportation, murders, among others.
