520.3.#.a: This research analyzes the configuration of the intergenerational historical discourse corresponding to Emilio Rabasa Estebanell, a lawyer from Chiapas identified as one of the ideologues who influenced the 1917 Mexican Political Constitution. It offers explanations regarding the origin and reinforcement of his image constructed from the perspective of a historical subject, through exploring his educational, academic, juridical, and professional background. It reviews the appreciation expressed for his legacy at the Constituent Congress held in Querétaro, since it was then that he became an archetypal figure with significance for posterity. It also examines his inclination as a critic (following his exile), which was reflected in newspaper publications, personal communications, university lectures, and participation in the lawyers’ guild, where he made corrections regarding constitutional themes. These various dimensions make it possible to identify that his publications had an influence on several articles in the Mexican Magna Carta. However, his thinking and positions also turned into a critique of the Constitution before and after its enactment Se analiza la configuración del discurso histórico intergeneracional en torno al abogado chiapaneco Emilio Rabasa Estebanell, que lo identifica como ideólogo e influyente de la Constitución Política de 1917. Se ofrecen explicaciones del origen y fortalecimiento de esta imagen construida al explorar, desde la perspectiva del sujeto histórico, en sus antecedentes formativos, su trayectoria académica, jurídica y laboral. Se repasan las apreciaciones de su legado, expresadas en el Congreso Constituyente de Querétaro, puesto que ahí su arquetipo tomó relevancia para la posteridad. Se revisa su inclinación crítica (después de su exilio) reflejada en publicaciones periodísticas, comunicaciones personales, contenido de cátedras, y participaciones con el gremio jurídico, en donde expresaba correcciones a los temas constitucionales. Estas dimensiones permiten identificar que sus obras sí influyeron en varios artículos de la Carta Magna; sin embargo, su pensamiento y postura también se transformaron en una crítica a la Constitución antes y después de su promulgación.
