Comidas con relación al ciclo de vida, boda y muerte

Resumen
The existence of various specific, exclusive foods meant for the gods, saints and other supernatural beings in various ritual contexts in the municipality of Pinotepa Nacional, speaks to the vast ritual culinary universe which survives to this day in the coastal region of Oaxaca. The symbolic language of these offerings needed to be studied according to the Mixtec people’s concepts, their language, and their own point of view. In addition to the description of rituals and their pre-hispanic aspects, linguistic analysis of the vocabulary gathered and developed was instrumental for this work. The foods that are prepared at the various festivities or rituals are undoubtedly linked to the ancient thinking of the Mixtec people, hence why they are immediately linked to certain divinities and supernatural beings.
