Clinimetría geriátrica: propuesta de un instrumento integral en medicina familiar

Resumen
to determine the reliability and validity of a clinimetric instrument integrated applicable to the geriatric population in family medicine. Material and methods: descriptive, cross-sectional and prospective study in 110 patients over 65 years of the Family Medicine Unit no. 56 of Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. It was applied an integral geriatric valuation instrument based on dimensions of the regulated geriatric assessment. Descriptive statistics using spss 14.0 was used for analysis. Results: it was built an instrument with 15 questions selected through Pearson correlation taking into account their factor weights. A Cronbach Alpha with 0.813 variance and correlation sum of 0.816 was obtained. The instrument was applied in seven minutes on average and showed that 83.6% of the sample (n=92χ2 42.6 p<0.05) presented an optimal state of health. Discussion: it was designed a reliable and valid instrument for the screening of the geriatric patient; more than 65 patients presented comprehensive optimum health conditions.
