Resumen
Hero and Leandro is one of the few fictional stories of the Greco Latin tradition that, more than a myth, turns out to be a legend: a narrative that, by having concrete elements of time and space, is more credible for its readers or audience. than other types of stories. Although several Greek and Latin authors alluded to it, only three works properly addressed it in ancient times: in Latin, two of Ovid’s Heroidas (XVIII y XIX); in Greek, an epilio written by Museo on the limits of Antiquity and the Byzantine Era. We will have to wait until the Renaissance for another great poet, Christopher Marlowe, undoubtedly inspired by the two of them, to undertake a new formal and original treatment of history. This article explores some textual features and problems of these three versions
