Resumen
During the last twelve years, Volcanology has undergone a radical change; From being a highly descriptive area, it has become a dynamic area that aims to fully explain eruptive phenomena. Beginning the explanation from the genesis of the volcanic devices to the detailed description of the eruptive mechanisms, as well as the different details of the different volcanic eruptions. This aspect has been greatly helped by the introduction of physics, especially fluid mechanics, geology and the development of numerical models to study everything from the mechanism of magma ascent to the genesis, evolution and behavior of eruptive columns.
