Resumen
Continuing the review of the history of the Museo Nacional de Antropología de la Ciudad de México (MNA) and its Teotihuacan room and collection since the creation of the new building for this museum in the Bosque de Chapultepec in 1964. We will explain the great effort that went into the design, construction and installation of the new MNA and, in particular, its Teotihuacan room, as well as the novelties of this museum project. The origins and history of the pieces in the collection (many of which were virtually lost) have been studied, as has the history of the MNA"s cataloguing. This high point in the evolution of the MNA"s history, which fortunately remained on display for about 36 years, was followed by the 1998-2004 renovation period, which we analysed, concluding that it did not meet the standards of the 1964 installation.
